SUPERHYPERLOCAL! It’s back!

Back by popular demand, SUPERHYPERLOCAL is here for summer 2026!  Like last year, we’re looking for work that expresses what you love (or love to hate) about the Bay Area, here and now.  For a place that is always in flux and ready to adopt the next big thing, it’s also chock full of closely guarded secret spots, passionate traditions, and decidedly analog habits.  Which is why we love it.  Because this is a summer show with lots of folks from elsewhere, buyers will have the option to take their art off the wall in lieu of shipping.  Thus the exhibit will be continually evolving and changing - to that end, please submit up to 2 individual works, keeping in mind that one or both may make it onto the wall as the exhibit progresses.

All mediums are welcome for consideration.  We also encourage artists to provide prints and unframed originals for sale in the print rack.  We will consider up to 3 copies of each print (or 3 of an edition).

This is an open call, but the number of accepted works will be limited.  Although the theme is intentionally broad, we will be curating and seeking out collectible works.

Submission guidelines:

-Only two submissions are allowed per artist, not to exceed 30" x 30”. GIVE US YOUR BEST!!

-All 2D works must arrive ready to install on the wall, framed if necessary, with DRings and wire, sawtooth hanger or cleat system. Works not ready to hang will not be accepted due to the short time we have to curate and get the show open to the public. If you need help with this, please reach out directly: renee@drawingroominc.org.

-Multi-media/Video submissions must be compatible as a mp4 video file.

-Works will be on display with the understanding that buyers may take work home immediately upon purchase.  Works will reside on our website also and be available for sale up to 30 days after the show ends.
