tDR UNDERSTUDY Program

The fund goes directly to provide mentorship of practical and technical skill through creative projects, mentorship,  exposure to working artists. Our Art Is Light Fund supports the costs of space to support and build programs like this. We give each UnderStudy a foundation of gallery experience from design and exhibition prep to installation and art handling. We also teach every UnderStudy how to block print so they can work on creative projects such as greeting cards, marketing and donor packets. Each UnderStudy is an integral part to our daily life and overall success as an organization who relies on an ecosystem of life and work to do it all to best of our collective capabilities. 

A portion of this fund goes towards a stipend program for those that work for us for the entire school year. We hope to give each graduating UnderStudy an unrestricted ranging from $500-1500 per year/per student. 

Currently we have 5 UnderStudies who all work at least 1 day/week during the school year. Most are engaged in special projects related to the galleries, fundraising and community-centric events.
