I am displaying my work today to represent all my Mexican American artists out there, VIVA LA RAZA! This painting was made at a time when I was heartbroken. So embarrassingly cliche. But this goes to show how life works in mysterious ways. The most painful things we can experience can create something beautiful. I’d like to thank my art teacher for this amazing opportunity and the boy that broke my silly little heart. This is truly a step forward for myself and for the artists in my family. I’m aiming high for the future to come.
