Drawing taps into the universal need to express oneself. The subject matter of one’s art becomes a portrait of the artist. In this project, students reflected on objects, animals, activities, food and famous artworks that interests them. Students then chose an image to embellish with a variety of patterns. The result creates a visual tapestry that draws the viewer to look closer.
